| Guest Posting’s True Infinite Power Posted: 03 Mar 2008 05:46 PM CST
It’s true that most of us create a blog to write our own posts or give an opinion on other posts written by other bloggers. When I first started blogging, I made sure I wrote interesting posts with unique valuable material to give to my readers. Heck, I even wrote a week’s worth of material in a day or two and scheduled the posts throughout the week. Of course it has all changed now, but I’ll get back on topic. The posts you create are always for yourself and what I mean by that is you try to bring in visitors to view this post of yours. If you’re a blogger just starting out, this may seem a bit difficult since your name…your “IMAGE” has not been seen or found in the blogosphere. What a lot of blogs accept now is guest posting and 99% of the time, it does not cost you a penny. What is guest posting Guest posting has become a wide spreading disease in the blogosphere. Almost every single blog I visit now accepts guest posting. Guest posting used to be on bigger blogs and it used to cost some money because you get something in return. It is almost all free now and I think the main cause of this is blog owners being off for a few days or just not feeling “the blog”. For a blog owner having this feeling isn’t necessarily a bad thing because the viewers and subscribers now have a chance to get in to this guest posting era. What happens is you write a spectacular and unique (never posted before) post that you wish to have published on a blog. There isn’t really a wrong way to go about, but it really depends on who you’re submitting to. I haven’t done a guest post yet, so I’m not sure of how much it benefits. How is it beneficial?
I can’t really think of much more benefits except that you’ll receive traffic from guest posts and that is what most people want. If you think deeper, you’ll actually realize it’ll create an image for you as either a good blogger or a bad. As I’ve mentioned earlier, I haven’t had the chance to test out the benefits of guest posting, but I’ll definitely try it in the future. What should you post about and how should it be? When you start writing a guest post, you must leave everything behind and start out fresh or in other words, BRAND NEW. The reason I say this is because the strategies, topics, and your own ideas may be different from what the blog owner wishes for. The guest post you are going to type up is going to seem like something that you have never written before and without your own personality. Here is an example of how I would go about if I were to write a guest post for someone like John Cow (not Chow :P):
I also do realize that John Chow made a post about a few months ago stating that guest posts should be written ahead of time and then sent in with a message asking the blog owner to review and possibly publish it. I personally don’t like this technique as it may seem like you’re forcing the blog owner to accept your post. How is guest posting infinite?
Which blogs should you choose? Make sure you choose the correct blog to guest post on because typing up one of these guest posts is very difficult and you wouldn’t want it to go to waste
Blogs currently accepting guest posts: Below are a few big/popular blogs that currently allows submission of guest posts. If you’re going to write up a guest post, I highly suggest you submit it asap as a lot of bloggers are getting into the action now: *contact them through the contact page and ask for permission first* Bloggin-Ads’ guest posting details If you guys haven’t already noticed, Bloggin-Ads has also joined the “GUEST POSTING” era and we now allow viewers to submit their own posts. So far I’ve had a few guest posts that are nothing less than spectacular. I’m sure I sent a decent amount of visitors over because some guest posters come back and submit more For more information about the guest posting requirements, just shoot over to my “SUBMIT A POST” section and check it out.

Guest posting is a great thing to give to yourself and the other blog, but what you’re getting in return is infinite. A permanent link on the blog will allow you to get visitors from that blog. If that blog has a higher Google Pagerank, you should be able raise your own Google ranks in the search engine and Pagerank wise. As long as you include a least 1 or 2 links in your guest post, you should receive referral visitors. As long as you choose the correct blog to guest post on, you will get endless results
